Overview
About Me
I'm a freelance pastry chef and free spirit!
I would describe myself as a straightforward person with a sarcastic sense of humor. I love me a little banter! To be honest though, some of my closest friends said at first they weren't really a fan of me but my shining personality obviously won them all over. Friendships and loyalty are really important to me and I strive to really make lasting ones!
By the way, if you're looking to land yourself a solid girl, you're barking up the wrong tree. I'm a married lady! haha
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I first heard about this community, I thought it was the sketchiest shit I ever heard of! BOY WAS I WRONG.
Couchsurfing has taught me to believe in the kindness of strangers. I have met so may genuine people through this website who I am proud to call friends. Everyone here came from different walks of life, with different views, and somehow came to an understanding of each other. It's actually just kind of surreal.
Mt first experience with CS was while I was in Melbourne, which was pretty much my last couple of months in Australia. I decided to try Hangout before I surfed for real to test the waters a bit. Long story short, I made one of the strongest friendships from my travels in those last two months by meeting this complete random. I was so pleasantly surprised. I went on a bunch more Hangouts for a couple weeks and met tons of great people from all over, some became a very big part of my time in Melbourne and I still keep in touch with them. Once I actually started surfing, it was so interesting to hear why the hosts did what they did. All my hosts were so accommodating and welcoming(please note that I heavily read the reviews since I was a young woman travelling on her own). 99% of my encounters on CS were so positive that it was life changing. 100% recommend you try CS on your travels at least once so you have the opportunity to experience what I got to. I will continue to hopefully connect with new people through here.
Interests
Everything I'm interested in pretty much goes hand in hand I think. It's all about the experience.
Food, Wine, Pastry is always evolving. It's ever-changing edible art that provides so much joy in my life.
Travelling is an opportunity to connect with strangers by getting a glimpse into their daily surroundings, as well a fantastic opportunity to test out local cuisine.
COFFEE is the fuel to my life. Learning about the process and culture is always so fun and interesting. The taste of coffee brings me a simple pleasure.
Health and fitness is on and off for me but I always find myself coming back when I'm trying to find balance in my life.
