Overview
About Me
I am mom to 3 wonderful adult sons and a dear step-daughter, and grandma to 5 adorable grandchildren. I am young in spirit though, and love adventure!
I was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Canada, and over the past few years, I have discovered the joys of travel. Now I want to see the world! Not in a touristy way though. I want to meet the locals and get to know them, and learn about the culture, the history, and the people of each place that I visit.
I am new to Couchsurfing, but it sounds like a wonderful idea, and a great way to do exactly what I want to do - get to know people from all over the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As mentioned in the " About Me" section, I want to see the world, but not as a "tourist". I want to meet the local people and get to know them and their country. Couch-surfing sounds like a great way to accomplish this!
I would be happy to host people at my place when I am not somewhere else exploring the world. However, I live outside the city, and my home is not accessible by public transportation, so you would need a car.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Celine Dion, Adele, Chris DeBurgh, Classic Rock, good dance music
Books: Lots of them! Too many to list. It's easier to say what I don't like, which is horror and mystery.
Movies: I'm don't watch a lot of movies, as I prefer to read, or be active. However, I am a Harry Potter fan. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on a 9,135 km road trip by myself. I drove from Winnipeg (Canada) to Key West (U.S.) and back, taking a different route each way. I stayed in 15 different accommodations. It was an amazing trip!
