ABOUT ME

I'm an artist/musician and a non-conformist Bohemian who has traveled and desires to travel more. Next I'm aiming at New Orleans where I used to live in the French Quarter. Mardi Gras is coming soon so I'll likely be looking for a couch there. If none of my vehicles is road ready I just might hitch hike. After all I hitched across North Africa. All my stuff (books, records, music etc. is in storage so I'm ready to rock 'n roll. I may be working at a Renaissance Faire in May near Nashville. Hoping to be luckier in love than I have been.

PHILOSOPHY

You reap what you sow and then some. Being alive on planet earth can result in a PhD in living or expulsion from the school of hard knocks. Self pity gets you nowhere fast and holding grudges gets you there even faster. Forgiveness of everything leads to more love in your life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I settle back down I will be happy to invite others to stay with me but for now I will be on the road. I tell others about this site all the time. If there was a way to be a CS promoter on a professional basis I'd be up for that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Here in the town where I'm living I've met several people who had couches. Before the existence of CS I used my youth hostel pass to stay in various places across Europe and Africa but CS is a lot better idea. I've also stayed on people's couches with no affiliation at all. Unfortunately the last time I stayed on a friend's couch he got kind of crazy so I withdrew and made a place to sleep in my storage!

兴趣

Classic literature, good films, good food, fine wines (cheap wine too!), loyal friends, long conversations, beautiful beaches, history, ancient cultures,beautiful cities like Paris and Rome, world peace, hitch hiking, motorscooters, staying out of jail, internet culture, sail boats, warm climates, everything to do with being an active singer-songwriter.

Climbed the Eiffel tower at night in a rain storm wearing flip-flops. Sat on the throne of Pyramid uno in Tikal. Sang at Carnegie Hall. (couldn't just list one.)

I like teaching guitar to those who just haven't gotten around to it yet. It's also fun to wander art galleries with those who don't have a lot of experience doing this (maybe because I grew up in the DC area where there are so many wonderful and free museums). Reading to children is a special treat.
