ABOUT ME

I am a 57-year old woman from Tallahassee Florida USA. I spent a year traveling the world-- to Africa, India, Southeast Asia and Europe.

Every where I went I encountered kind, generous people. I feel better about the world now, despite its many flaws. I also got addicted to the freedom travel offers and am trying to negotiate with my settled life to maintain that freedom but still support myself. I don't want to lose that sense that every day is a new adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

In the words of my late husband: Live a life of love.

We get one round on this planet, so I want to see as much of it as I can, but I also have a strong community at home where we embrace and support one another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I may consider hosting some couchsurfers, especially world travelers.

I'm not interested in hosting couchsurfers who are just coming to town for a football game or to party. My home is 12 miles outside of Tallahassee, so couchsurfers who would probably enjoy staying here would be people who prefer peace and quiet and are interested in community (as I live in an intentional community).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once in India and once in Switzerland. Both very positive experiences. I've hosted several in my home as well.
