My name is Janette, and I am trying to get back on the traveling bug. I am currently in SoCal, studying for the LSATs and running our family-owned business. I am a lover of all teas and grilled cheese. Writer and yoga-enthusiast. It gives me goosebumps to think about new places to explore. I have travelled through South America when I was studying abroad in Argentina. I used to travel a lot more but had to stop for a while due to family circumstances. Friends say that I am a free-spirit and always game for anything.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I started this traveling project and a big component of it is hearing other people's stories. Traveling and listening to others are my favorite things to do, so Couchsurfing was a perfect fit. I am currently updating it with my latest trip, but feel free to check it: projectdaad.tumblr.com/aboutme

I also did couchsurfing once (through my friend's profile) in Uruguay and it was an incredible experience. I am hoping to return the favor. When I lived in NYC, I had folks stay with me, and even in CA, I have had friends stay when they needed a place. Sharing your home brings new friends and experiences so I am ready to jump into couchsurfing!

Music is ALL. I have no specific genre I focus on more than others. Whatever is playing, I give it a shot then add it to my radio station mix to get similar new songs. I am currently listening to whatever Coffee Shop Radio is playing on iHeart Radio. I will say, though, that I have a soft spot for songs that talk about starting over. They make the best running music. Also a yoga instructor introduced me to "Hustler" by Jose Salvat and it is on repeat.

Movies, well I am a total sucker for a romcom but enjoy movies that inspire and make me want to go do something! I have my feel good movies that I curl up to with tea.

Books? I have a long list of books I have to read for this year! From "Welcome to Nightvale" to "The Shock Doctrine." I enjoy anything and everything.
