About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To start my own mead brewery, and visit every place on earth.

ABOUT ME

I think of myself as the silly type, but my friends probably wouldn't describe me that way. I'm determined, driven, focused. If I'm on a mission, I get things done I love to learn and live to travel. I like to go out and try new things. I am always up for a new adventure. I have lived in Norfolk most of my life, but also lived in the mountains of West Virginia, and in Italy close to Pisa.

I want to spend a month in an ashram in the future, and travel all over the world. I like to brew mead and beer, sword fight with the renaissance club, and try new things!

I am a business consultant, but I want to start my own mead brewery in the future.

My undergraduate degree was political science. I love studying new languages, culture, and people.

Heads up: I often travel with my sister mab. Her couchsurfer is:

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short. Don't waste time on regrets.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted my first person December 2015. Would love to host more now that I have my own space. I don't have a private room for guests, but I do have two couches. Sometimes my sister visits with her dog a Westy named Mimi, who's supposedly hypoallergenic. Just a head's up.

I can cook a good dinner, and show you what's cool in Norfolk and VB, aside from the beach.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Istanbul, Turkey, Budapest, Hungary, and Berlin, Germany Brno, Czech Republic, and Richmond, VA. All great experiences.

The international party in Brno was amazing.

I also couchsufed for my 25th birthday in Richmond. One of the best CS experiences ever, my host met us at Belle Isle, drank with us all day, got someone to play happy birthday to me on the smallpipes (bagpipes), and then hosted six other people I came with. Amazing host.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Italy for three months as an au pair. I spent my weekends exploring Florence, Montecantini, Lucca, and some of the other mountain towns in the area. I loved the family stay with and the experience I had.

Partying in Budapest and the boozy cruise.

Making friends on the Spanish Arch in Galway.

Touring the harem in Topkapi palace.

Caving under budapest.

Shots of raki on top of the hostel in Istanbul overlooking the Bosphorus Strait.

International party with a couchsurfer in Brno.

25th birthday/CS experience.

Work/play stint in mountains of West Virginia, where I took free snowboard lessons, set skis for tourists, and studied for the GREs.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach brewing, how to make some historical period clothing/ simple corsets, how to sword fight for points, some yoga. I can teach some piano and some super basic violin. I can teach you to make sushi. I can also teach you to pole dance.
