About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spend more time on boats

ABOUT ME

I am always an easy-going person and do my best to be happy and avoid stress.

Also I am VERY allergic to cats. So if I ask to stay with you PLEASE let me know if you have one (I've had 1 or 2 too many hosts forget to do this, and it's a bad situation).

PHILOSOPHY

Teach your children well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a big advocate of CS, and frequently encourage others to join to build up a membership of good people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First experience was in Switzerland with fabulous host PEIRO in June 2007 after 3-day hike through Liechtenstein. Great host, great food, great wine.

Since then I've hosted several times.

Looking forward to building on that.

Interests

traveling, cooking, playing rugby and Frisbee, swimming in any body of water in any season, long walks in the woods, meeting new people, learning new things

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching movies, mostly comedy/foreign/fantasy/war/romantic. I absolutely CANNOT watch horror/suspense films, or even previews, so please don't ask me to because I CAN succumb to peer pressure.

I enjoy a large variety of music, including country and excluding Pearl Jam.

I am currently in the middle of a half-dozen books that I've been working on for as many months, and look forward to getting back to 1 or 2 books a week. I prefer books that aren't written in the first person, and like to jump around genres and topics. I find book groups weird.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once sang "American Pie" with Joschka Fischer. All >8 minutes of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Things I enjoy learning: dumb child-appropriate jokes, card tricks and games, recipes, and general fun facts.

Things I enjoy teaching: see above.

Things I enjoy sharing: food and drink.
