About Me

ABOUT ME

>> "You can't get all the way inside someone else. ... But imagining being someone else, or the world being something else, is the only way in. It is the machine that kills facists."
>> "But there are a thousand ways to look at it (dying): maybe the strings break, or maybe our ship sinks, or maybe we're in grass - our roots so interdependent that no one is dead as long as someone is still alive. We don't suffer from metaphors, is what I mean. But you have to be careful which metaphor you choose, because it matters. If you choose the strings, then you're imagining a world in which you can become irreparably broken. If you choose the grass, you're saying that we're all infinitely interconnected, that we can use these roots systems not only to understand one another but to become one another. The metaphors have implications. ..." (from John Green, Paper Towns)

I have a strong affinity towards words. They can express so much more than bare facts and regularly reveal people's characters. Fortunately, they don't come natural, so in a way, words may be accused artificial. And yet, they so clearly are. This alone make me happy: words have the capacity to reveal truths, but people don't, because we get frequently caught up with putting words in individually meaningful orders.

Yep, so words. But honestly, isn't it rather difficult to give you the impression that you can sort me into categories so you can accept or refuse my request? By words. Well... Anyway, let's play this game. I would describe myself to be an openminded and interested person who loves to observe and enhance the beautiful. I like fruitful conversations and when I travel I do so in order to get to know different ways of 'life'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've only surfed only. However, as soon as I live somewhere suitable for hosting people, I will gladly welcome you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It is very generous to accept virtual strangers into our homes. But still, are we strangers? A platform to connect people who collectively enhance a particular idea, such as couchsurfing, are driven by the same ideals, hopes, and fears. So, I love couchsurfing as yet another way to meet like minded 'yous' from all over.

I have been a guest in the United States and Dubai, all of which experiences have been enriching in their own ways.
