Well, as I'm writing this I'm 29 years old and feel like I want to get out on the road again.
I have been a very active couchsurfer (both hosting and surfing) a few years ago, but at some point everyday life just got too much in the way. But here I am, reactivating my profile and ready to host and surf with interesting people.

I am a student of English and History at the University of Vienna and I plan to be a teacher in these subjects after I finish my studies.
My interests are the outdoors (especially with my dog) and sports of any kind (climbing, cycling or just the gym), though I am in fact not that much of a sporty guy. I enjoy reading a good book when I can find the time to do so or watching a good (or just plain stupid) movie.
Other interests (stuff that I enjoy talking about) are Technology, Videogames, Politics, Languages and of course Travelling

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be honest I didn't spent many thoughts on CS in the last years due to work and my living arrangements but I'm planning a trip to the US this summer and I definitely don't want to go from hotel to hotel and do some sightseeing in between. What I want is to meet and interact with real people. However, I have no problem with staying in a hostel from time to time if you think you don't have the space to host but still want to meet up and show me your corner of the world, I'm all yours.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like a lot of different things in the arts.
Starting with music, I'm almost listening to everything from Classical to Psytrance and everything between.
For the past year or so I find a strange fascination within me with country music. Not just the classics but also newer stuff, like The Devil Makes Three, The Steeldrivers and such
During wintertime and when it's grey out I often catch myself listening to a lot of reggae, maybe it's just a good antidepressant for me against the winter blues.

Of course I also like to read and since my parents run a bookshop here in Vienna so I'm right at the source. Unfortunately I don't find much time for reading between my studies, my job and my personal life.

About the movies, I can't really say what I prefer. Sometimes I enjoy action movies (especially superhero ones) and sometimes I wish to see something more artsy or intelligent.
I also have to admit that we do live in a golden age of television and I did my share in bingewatching netflix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm, there are many stories, mostly concerning traveling and/or hitchhiking during the last years.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching: I could try to teach you english (as this is going to be my profession) or tell you my favorite fun facts from history. Of course I can also teach you how to prepare some traditional Austrian and/or German meals if we can find the ingredients
Learning: better cooking, perfecting my English skills
I'm also somewhat trying to learn to play the harmonica, it's not easy but a lot of fun
Sharing: actually everything, food, books, smokes, drinks, knowledge, friends...

What I Can Share with Hosts

First and foremost: my delightful presence.
Kidding, If you decide to be my Host, I would expect from you to give me the chance to give back. Cooking of course, but also groceries, other chores, babysitting, dogsitting... You name it and we can figure something out.
