I am a Mom and a Student. I love animals, so they are always welcome in my home. I have a quiet life, with a great (but small) group of friends. If you are looking for a glass of wine on the porch, interesting conversation, and neat facts about my area; couch surf here. I am not a big loud party person. I would call myself reserved, eccentric, kind, and intelligent. I love to cook, so you will probably get fed well while you stay here!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used couchsurfing many years ago when my husband and I were moving to a new city. We got him a couch, while I stayed home with our child. He used it to map out the new city, and find a suitable new home for us. It was a great, safe, and cost effective way for us to find our new home in the new location. We also made lasting friendships and learned a great deal more about the new city than we could have learned otherwise. I have not used couchsurfing since then, so you will not see many reviews for me.

Interests

I am an amateur photographer, so I always have my camera. I am also a singer, so I love to go hear and sing music at some of our local places. I am a Mom, so a great deal of my time and interest goes to helping my child become smarter everyday!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music....is music. I listen to just about every genre you can think of. I love it all. I likewise have a huge variety of movies in my collection. But, I tend to love period movies, and movies that make you think. Books at this point in my life tend to be text books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sang in front of 10,000 people. It was a mind blowing experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't really know what I could teach. I spend a large portion of my time teaching my child. I am a native to Las Cruces, so I do know a lot about what my city has to offer. I am also very knowledgable about my state and its culture. I am a person who loves to learn, so I am always interested in what others have to share with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I do not couchsurf often anymore, so I am more interested in acting as a host rather than surfing myself.
