About Me
Well,I just spent half an hour filling this out, but did kinda forget to save it. Second, much shorter try, there you go
Hi! I'm Janice, 20 years old and I'm a soon to be psychology student and university-goer. I like to play basketball, travel, read or write and I'm currently learning how to sew. Writing is the way I can best express myself and I write often in poetry form. But I actually never participated in a Poetry-slam, I'm a coward I know. When I first get to know someone I'm rather quiet and listen more before I'd talk them to death. But I have a good sense of humour and I like discussions about any topic really. My favorites are politics, religions and crazy ideas, to save the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a student, money is always tight, especially when you like to travel. Couchsurfing provides a better option, because it is cheap AND you can get to know locals and people without having to try really, really hard ( I'm somewhat of an introvert) I like to get to know what you like about your town and why you live life the way you do.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like music with a lot of text, because for me it's the most important part of a song (I know, kill me). Thsi is why I listen to a lot of hip-hop an rap.
I read almost everything I can get my hands on, be it a 18th century novel, a romance or a biography. I used to read a LOT of historical fiction, because I feel like you still get to know soem of the real history behind it. Like pillars of the earth (?) or german ones from Rebecca Gablé
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was sixteen, I had the oppurtunity to do a schoolyear abroad and I chose to go to india. There I learned so much about a totally different culture, about food, bollywood, myself and people in general. I really fell in love with India, if I wasn't already before. I had an amazing hostfamily, that took me in as one of them and it was the first time, I lived under the same roof as strangers that became family.
This last half year, I worked with disabled people and I really learned so much, about living life to the fullest and doing what you love even when it is difficult. Plus I learned from them that it's not about what live gives you but what you make out of it. None of them were bitter over their situation and it was just so awesome to witness.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you german, more about the indian and swiss cuisine and finding great stuff in second hand-shops or flea markets, I'm not too bad in bargaining except with sweet old ladys ( I can't bargian with them)
I want to learn everything! From doing pottery, to spanish and nail art. Seriously if you are enthusiastic about something, I probably will have fun doing it with you. Except meditation, it drives me crazy ( I just can't stop my brain) I also want to learn more about your culture, your background, what made you who you are. Teach me!
I would love to discover the poetic side of your city and also show you some of my work, if you're interested. And I'm always ready to share a cup of tea with you.
