ABOUT ME
REGARDING THE REALLY LOW REPLY-PERCENTAGE: That's because I lived in Amsterdam for a year and no matter what you put as your couch status or how specific you are about what kinds of requests you're going to reply to, you get like tons of requests non-stop, and at some point I just stopped to reply..
I am .. artistic and emotional with a great passion for atmospheres and things that help making them stronger (like music). A good friend of mine said his life consists of suffering pain and relishing pleasure, but also suffering pleasure and relishing pain :) And I can relate to that, because things aren't always so straight-forward and sometimes it can be very enjoyable to mix it all up and relish pain for a change.
I'm really into photography, writing, painting,
but I'm also really interested in analyzing scientific and philosophical questions of life such as the origin of gender, sexuality, behavior patterns, ...and I love languages and being inspired by any story, museum, exhibition, picture, film, quote, or whatever you can think of.
Generally I'm trying to get more and more from my head into my body, feeling instead of thinking and moving instead of feeling stuck. I'm doing a sort of body work therapy that's all about seeing where certain problems/fears/.. are in your body, how your body shows you what's wrong and how you feel, and that's something that has really enriched my life and that I believe in very strongly. I believe that our bodies tell us everything we need to know, always.
PHILOSOPHY
Change it, leave it, love it.
Remember, reflect, react.
Personal borders: have 'em, respect 'em, pass 'em, expand 'em.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Travelling is so important because it makes you know yourself in so many different ways. Every journey is a little homecoming and I genuinely believe that I and others get to know themselves better by being pushed across borders, in the geographical and the metaphorical sense ;) This is why I participate.
How I participate? So far I've mainly shown people around in Amsterdam or just met up with them, I had one girl staying on my couch and stayed on other people's couches several times. Had a blast each and every time, it especially amazes me how fast I call these people my friends just because it always felt so familiar to be around CS people. Guess it's our common philosophy that connects us.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I really, really enjoyed my couchsurfing experiences so far. It's just soo great how you immediately feel at home ,feel welcome and get to know many people from different countries at once. I absolutely love this programme !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming in a 5° cold mountain lake, and I'll tell you this is really f***ing cold, considering that people freezed to death at 1 or 2° after the Titanic sank. But it was absolutely, inexplicably, totally AMAZING!Can only recommend it(kind of weird though cuz your goosebumps don't go away for like five hours),diving 30m low and feeling like in a science fiction movie when seeing all the underwater caves and creatures, wandering along the edge of a steep coast in Madeira, just as the sun was about to set.
- One of the craziest but most amazing things I've done was participating in a rebellious theatre festival in my hometown: in a group of about 50 people we spread out in the center of Graz and received commands via headphones, such as "Let yourself fall to the ground", "Walk in slow motion", "Say I love you to a stranger", "Scratch your body like mad",... my friend and I were so flabbergasted(I love this word) that we just continued to walk in slow motion. When people asked us what we were doing we just said that we were fighting time. It took us two hours and 30 minutes to walk the distance of one tram station (like 800m). Always up for walking in slow motion if you're interested!
Working for the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam for a year, seeing how moved people are, how close to history they can get just by being in a certain place and feeling the atmosphere.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm really good at writing (a lot & very fast), interpreting books and characters and behaviour, finding presents (sometimes even for strangers) and asking questions.
And then of course I can also teach you all the basic stuff..like maybe reading&playing notes on the piano, the languages I know, and how to make real Austrian Kaiserschmarrn (chancellor's omelette, goulash, dumplings, etc.
