CURRENT MISSION
Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly? (F. Kahlo)
ABOUT ME
** HEY! I'LL BE TRAVELING TILL MID-AUGUST, WON'T BE ABLE TO HOST COUCH SURFERS - maybe next time :) **
I enjoy exploring what's beyond the familiar. All the warm and beautiful people I've met here and there have taught me a great deal and, in big part, made me the person I am. I like forests, camp fires, walking, sea&ocean&lakes, surprising&surreal encounters, lighthouses, learning to do things w/ my hands (crafts, farming), picking berries and mushrooms, reading, listening to music, drinking good tea, coffee or/and red wine.. Hmm, what else? I'm easy to please and I take joy in small things. Love, friendship, compassion (and laughing!!) are forces that keep my world turning.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Opening my home to new people, like so many have done for me. I also like showing the city to new friends, while talking about everything and/or nothing. I'm also always into exchanging skills, if possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I suppose I've been doing 'couchsurfing' before actually getting to know this community - getting in touch with friends of friends (of friends..) in places that I've visited. I've also hosted quite a few people in my place and met surfers that other friends have hosted. It's always been a lot of fun, and so the network of good people keeps on growing (which is a great way of building resistance and creating positive transformations)!

Photography, crafts, gardening, volunteering, biking, walking, reading, picking berries in the forest, traveling... practicing Shorinji Kempo, doing fun stuff with friends (e.g. watching movies, going to see gigs)...

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Many bands / artists from the 60s and 70s. I really like folk music, 'trobadores' (Silvio Rodriguez, Manuel Garcia..), ska, Brazilian music (bossa nova), Nina Simone, Tim Buckley, Nick Drake, Nouvelle Vague; and I l-o-v-e Neil Young's music.. Basically, I enjoy all music that one can dance with hands lifted in the air (for example, ska and gipsy music are good for this..) Movies: so many good ones.. I like eg. Wes Andersson's, Aki Kaurismäki's, Peter Greenaway's, Truffaut's, Kusturica's and Jodorwsky's movies. I also have to admit I love music/Dance movies and have seen 'Dirty Dancing' quite a few times... Books: Roberto Bolaño, Tsechov, Edith Södergran, Anaïs Nin, Alejandro Jodorowsky (also on the movie/cartoon side), Pablo Neruda, Charles Bukowski, Virginia Woolf, Mario Vargas Llosa, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Arundhati Roy..... I know I'm forgetting many great ones.. My preferences depend on the state of mind I find myself in or on the company (or both)..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting Tierra del Fuego. Feeling loved.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really enjoy making crafts (eg. book binding) and taking pictures. Also sharing good stories is always fruitful.
I'd be interested in learning more about organic/agroecological agriculture, and making preserves.
