I'm Janina, 24, and just finished my Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology at Freiburg Uni.
I'm always up for experiencing new things, so if you'd like to host me or stay with me, feel free to show me what makes your life a bit funnier or more beautiful. So, yeah, not much more to say really, interested in reading, a good talk, bulding pillow forts, and have lost my heart to Ireland.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are few more interesting ways to spend my time than to talk to other people, joking around or discussing important and less important stuff. So, I'd love to share this with you guys. :)
When I'm staying with somebody I think it's self-evident to help wherever I can!
I also really like to cook, so I'm always up for having a nice dinner, should you be interested.

Interests

I love ...

... cooking meals with friends or on my own. It usually is a little chaotic but in the end it always tastes well... and if not: well, I have skills in opening bottles of beer. ;-)

... reading all kinds of good books (well, actually I've read some pretty bad ones, too!).

... going out drinking a few beers/ coffees or
hanging out someplace just talking and enjoying life.

... listening to music or watching movies and series.

You can also meet me at all kinds of festivals, playing a match of flunky ball (if you don't know it yet, I'll have to show you) or hopping around at concerts.

Well, obviously I'm interested in politics, too. So I've been to some workshops about the United Nations and journalism. And of course, I'm trying to stay informed on what is going on around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

As for movies I like almost every genre as long as the story is just a good one. My favorites are: Fight Club, Into the Wild, Lucky Number Slevin, and many more. I'm a huge fan of The Game of Thrones and House of Cards.

I hear any kind of music as long as you can hear the artists heart in it. Also always up for being introduced to something new!

My favourite books are the A Song of Ice and Fire Series (George RR Martin), The Kingkiller Chronicles (Patrick Rothfuss), The Perfume (Patrick Süßkind) and the one and only Harry Potter books (Joanne K. Rowling),and the Wheel of Time Series (Robert Jordan).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Built a pillow fort and charged my friends 5 pence to enter. :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

The knowledge of some of the most beautiful sounding German words there are (Eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher), I'll bring along Wizard (great board game to play while having a nice chat), if fancied, I'd be able to bring along a bottle of sweet, sweet Buckfast. :P
