ABOUT ME

Wanderlust and then some.
I was accepted into the JET programme and will be living in Northern Honshu (Kitakata in the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture) until Aug 2011.

I love music, cooking, and drinking wine. I teach an adult language class once a week [Tues -you can come!], Japanese classes [Wed], go to karaoke and learn new languages. If you are interested in Martial arts, there is a local aikido dojo that is amazing, thats t and th nights.

I am down to have a good time with good people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted two friends from the states in my Japanese residence thus far as well as five couchsurfers. I have also hosted a ton of foreigners in the area.

Before that, an endless string of vagabonds on my couch in Tennessee and CA.
This past summer (2008) I took a cross country roadtrip with my sister and couchsurfed the whole length of it. Fantastic journey and met some great couchsurfers that way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just spent the first 2 months after i moved to CA sleeping on a fouton on my friend Shane's couch- cs is the best. Other than that- see above.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleeping on the sand in the middle of the desert in Morocco and waking up to so many stars i gasped. Dancing my little heart out at the Broken Social Scene concert onstage. Being front row center for too many concerts to count. Going to Palestine. Teaching English in China.
