Overview
About Me
I'm introvert tho people often mistake me for extrovert as I'm quite energetic and active. Like meeting new people, especially from different cultures.
I used to travel way more when I was younger, but in last few years as I got into my career I have admittedly done it a lot less. But I still try to occasionally make time for it even if it's just small local trips. Or at least to meet couchsurfers to travel vicariously through them :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently it's mostly to meet new people. People who actively couchsurfing are usually the fun to talk to and open to new experiences. My flat is very small so unfortunately I can't host anyone, but I enjoy occasionally joining local meetups.
Interests
I'm a pretty big reader. When I was younger I used to read a lot of fiction, but nowadays I mostly prefer non-fiction, usually history and self-help.
I like running. Try to do it few times per week as it helps me to relax. Not a huge fan of other kinds of exercise tho.
Also play piano. I went to music school for playing drums and took piano as secondary. After graduation I kind of forgot about drumming but piano stayed and I like to play until this day, Unfortunately I currently don't have a keyboard at home, but I'm plan on getting one.
- meditation
- reading

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Spoon, Charles Mingus. Mostly indie rock and jazz
Movies - Boyhood, Before Sunset, Inception
Books - mostly non-fiction but from fiction I love Siddharta, Never Let Me Go and Darkness at Noon
I also like video games, tho I don't play them often nowadays :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran ultramarathon (50km) a few years ago in Riga. It was wayy harder than I thought it would be and I will probably never do it again, but finishing it was really cool feeling.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm fluent in Latvian so I can teach basics of it, tho I should warn you that it isn't an easy language :)
I have also been learning Salsa for few months now, but I'm probably not good enough to start teaching it to others.
