I am Janis, a 19-year-old german guy, who is currently traveling in awesome New Zealand. I have made some funny and very interesting experiences both here and back in Germany and I would love to share these and maybe you have some stories or tips to share as well!

Back in Germany I'm really into sports, have played handball on a quite high niveau and have been working as a supervisor in a high ropes course for several years, so I'm into climbing as well.
Here in New Zealand I fell in love with hiking in the beautiful landscape.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people and learn about different styles to live than I am because only by learning and take a risk you can discover what you really like.
I first heard of couchsurfing when traveling in New Zealand. My travelmate used it for meeting some people and I was so surprised how easy it is and how cool and friendly the people can actually be. So I thought I should try it myself.
