Overview
About Me
Most of my life I have lived in Balvi, but very often I travel because of my work or just for fun. I like to have guests, as all my family does, so if you are coming most probably you will meet a lot of my family members.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I registered on Couchsurfing to be able to stay for free while I am traveling, meet local people and have more adventures. As my trips got more planned, I don't use it so much anymore, but I discovered that hosting is the same adventure as traveling.
Interests
I like to go on adventures like hiking, long walks, boat trips, camping, etc. As I have kids, I don't have so much time for it anymore, I do some running with my dog, cycling and any more activities which doesn't take a lot of time. Sometimes I just do some works outside, crafting things from wood, clean up surroundings in my parents country house or just spend quality time with my family. Together we do barbeque, prepare meals, spend time outside playing and discovering nature, in the summertime we love to spend time near the water, swimming and sunbathing, in long winter and autumn evenings we go in the sauna, read books or just watch tv. Very often I and my dog attend dog school and even take part in local competitions for more activities.

Music, Movies, and Books
Usually, I listen to music only when I am driving, I don't have any specific beloved music style, I just like or don't like songs.
I read about two/three books in a year, most often they are about traveling and exploring, self-coaching books or classic literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have married the most beautiful girl.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am ready to hear and learn all the jokes you have, even if they are dirty and offensive.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share Latvian sauna traditions if we arrange on it a few days before you come.
We definitely can cook together. As Latvian kitchen has historically filled with other nation traditions, we are open to most of the food and ready to experiment!
