We have a happy, busy sort of space here...dogs, cats, gerbils, chickens, organic veg patch and quite a few kids around the place. Ullapool is a lovely village with loads of pubs and shops and lots to do. It's a great place to stop and take stock on your route round Scotland. The ferry goes from here to Stornoway every day and threre's good bus routes to other mainland destinations.

We love having couchsurfers to bring us stories of the big wide world. We especially love to host self-sufficient people and we don't expect anything from guests. That said, it is always lovely when people want to get involved with the generaly choatic life of the house...even if it is just walking the dog, mowing the lawn, feeding the hens, cooking a meal or playing with the kids.

Guests usually stay in the wee caravan on the driveway. It has electricity, but no running water so you are invited to use the kitchen and bathroom in the house. You can find pretty much anything you need in the village, from swimming pool, to pharmacy, to museum, to library, to galleries.... We love our village and we hope you will to! :)
