Hello everyone :)
My name is Janja and I come from a small village, located in Slovenia. I am a 23-year old outgoing, spontaneous, ethusiastic, social and genuine girl. I always follow my heart and I try to live in the moment and cherish every single one.

Currently I am attending University of Education in Ljubljana and I am studying Social Pedagogy, as I really love children or in general want to help people in any possible way. Therefore I would also describe myself as a sensitive person, as many things touch my heart in a very special way.

Im my free time I love to do sports, go on long walks, while listening to my favorite music, read, journal, cook etc. Oh and I love psychology! And Coffee of course! (read: (sometimes) wine)

I have already lived in 2 other countries, in Germany for 10 months and just recently I left Belgium, where I lived for 3 months. It was my second time being abroad as an Au-Pair and I couldn't love this experience any more. I gained so much trust in myself and I became a totally different person through this process, as I had a lot of time to work on myself. Since then traveling is my number one hobby and passion. I love to discover undiscovered places and corners and I really really love meeting new people and getting to know their culture, language and cuisine first-hand. That's why I can't wait to start my #Couchsurfing journey!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well first of all, cause I heard so many positive sides of it and so many good stories that I had to try it myself too. But also because I obviously love travelling, meeting new people, their culture, new cuisine and everything that comes in between.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to listen to any genre of music, it always depends on my mood. But if I have to choose favorite type of music I would pick modern folk, indie, pop and rock music. Most of the time I listen to Slovenian and Yugoslavian rock and the latest pop hits.

I love to watch thrillers or movies that take your breath away and keep your mind wondering. Like this kind of movies you can't stop thinking about even weeks after. Therefore I love psychological movies with twists and unpredictable endings. Sometimes it also feels good to watch a romantic movie or a comedy.
I also really love Greys Anatomy and any type of series like this.

I want to learn about other people's cultures and lives. That's why I also became Au-Pair, cause I like to experience different types of lives and get to know all of the special stories from different people. I also love trying new food and cooking new dishes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think I am a very genuine, thoughtful, social and talkative person. I am also quite curious and love to talk about other people's lives, perspectives, different stories (and share mine too!). I love having good long walks and talks and drink coffee or wine ;) People also describe me as funny, fun and outgoing, so I think if you like any of my characteristics, we would get along very well!
