About Me

I am working and living in a small Norwegian village together with my wife and our little daughter. Here we take care of some people with special needs and trying to create a community where we all have the possibility to learn and grow.

I lake to be involved in all layers of life starting from the minerals - making compost, plants- growing vegetables, animals - shepherding 23 sheep and 40 lambs and humans - taking care of them and learning myself trough everyday life in the complexity of community living.

I don't consider myself to be a social person so my life and work offers me many many challenges and often pushes me out of my comfort zone but exactly this is what I appreciate the most here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Its just another thing what helps me to open up, kindle my curiosity, and feeds my interest in people. Helps me to believe there are good things happening between people out of natural interest without any money involved. It is relay nice to see and take part in it.

Interests

I am interested in the on going changes in the world although I often found it hard to face it. Photography has been a long on going interest of mine. Not only taking pictures but just looking at others works too. I also been running for some years now I found half marathon to be the distance whats challenges me enough and my legs can also do. My latest interests started three years ago when we moved to Norway and got involved in farming and gardening. I enjoy the reality of it that it has to be done and that it takes me outdoor even in the worst weather conditions.

Music, Movies, and Books

For music the album Ordet by Bremer/McCoy is a good example of the kind I relay like. On the movie side my top three are Aki Kaurismäki, Ken Koach and Jim Jarmusch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked the Camino de Santiago in August 2013. It had been a magical journey.
I laughed I cried I loved I was loved I was a prince on a white horse. I suffered I accomplished.
It was a whole life in only 30 days.
