About Me

Interests

Music (singing, flute, piano, percussion, and composing), writing (blogging, song lyrics, children's stories, and one day, hopefully, a novel or two), dancing (Polynesian - especially Tahitian and Hula - , and one day: Salsa, Bachata, ballroom, tap, and step dance), reading, binge-watching good shows, and seeing new places, even if it means taking a different road on the way home to the one that I took to leave home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While I was on exchange in Canada in 2013, I car-shared my way from Montreal through Quebec and the Maritimes to get to a Celtic music festival on Cape Breton, a small island on the end of Nova Scotia, on nothing but the advice of a university mentor. I car-pooled my way back home again with the amazing people that I met there and brought home a box overflowing with great memories.

I took a break from university to work in Paris proper 2015-2017 as an English Language Assistant. I used the opportunity to travel around Europe and learn some wonderful Ori Tahiti from the incredibly talented and hard-working Tahia Cambet. I loved it so much that I went back to Paris on exchange at Sciences Po in 2018 and met even more great people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I value honesty and try hard to be honest with myself and the people around me all the time. It's not easy though!

Communicate, communicate, communicate. It's the hardest thing to do in a relationship, but it's the most important.

We are our own harshest critics. Sometimes this is something that we need... but really only sometimes.
