ABOUT ME

Life-loving, optimistic, full of smile! I like people who are real, honest and feeling good with themselves and among the others. Spontaneity is making life interesting, and I think things can be made in many ways; there should not be only one answer to the questions, or just one way to make something work.

Right now I'm living in Helsinki with my Brazilian husband Victor. We love travelling and meeting new people!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is full of chances. They don't just come to you, but you have to be active and look for them, not to forget about being optimistic. A small opportunity can lead to a bigger one; every person is worth for a nice word and smile, every work is worth for your time and effort.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

People are asking why I want to take strangers to my home, and why I want to go to a person who I don't know. At the same time they keep asking how I meet so great people and have so much amazing experiences. Hmm... :-)

I have surfed numerous times and met amazing people. I have also hosted people back in Finland and also when I was living in France. With my husband together we haven't surfed or hosted yet, but now we finally have the possibility to host!

Interests

I study languages, so definitely using them is one of my favorite things! The feeling when you can express yourself in a foreign language is incredible! I have also been practicing karate quite a while (not that much at the moment), and I just looooove dancing! :)

I like talking, the topic doesn't matter. It is interesting to hear what different people are thinking about the things, how they see the world. As I told, there should not be only one way to think about something, and it's always really mind-opening to discuss with a new person. The most interesting ideas are usually the strange ones!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read many types of books. Especially Russian classics are something that I really enojy (though not all the time, sometimes it's pretty heavy...). The best books make me cry or laugh aloud.

Music - I like everything. Depending on my mood, the music can be touching classical, rhythmical Balkan music or bling-bling gangsta rap. Currently I really enjoy Brazilian funk (hehe) and reggaeton-style songs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The life itself - the lovely mess and strangeness of it. The feeling when you never know what is going to happen next. The moments that you would like to preserve in a pot to have them again later, but at the same time enjoying the idea that you cannot do it.

But to name few - when my husband proposed me; frozen Lake Baikal; empty Great Wall in a not-touristic location...

Teach, Learn, Share

If something, sharing a bottle of wine harms anyone, right? Apart from that, knowing few words in different languages or few steps for dancing might be something I could do. Maybe you show me how do you see the world we live in?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not a master chef, but I don't mind cleaning ;) Depends on a person, situation... Let's see if I'm surfing on your couch :)
