Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia, that trip was my first CS experience and I liked it a lot! CS is a free form of traveling, you learn the purest form of local culture and habits, getting to know locals is really interesting! So you're really connecting with the country and all of its secrets.

Interests

My two biggest passions in life are traveling and surgery / medicine. It's my dream to work with Doctors Without Borders.
With traveling goes, of course, learning languages!

  • culture
  • traveling
  • languages
  • medicine
  • volunteering

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm in love with fantasy books! The weirder the better.
Reading a good fantasy book with a whole (or more) new world(s), with new creatures, laws, habits... It's like traveling in another world.
My favorite series: 'The ballad of Sir Benfro'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My trip to Bangladesh and my volunteering in the public hospital in Honduras! It was fantastic and I learned so much.
Also, in my trip to India, I learned a lot about their gods and beliefs; in the beginning I thought it was interesting, but it didn't get to me, but later, when I had some conversations with the locals about Hinduism, well it was interesting! Like how Lord Shiva (god of destruction) destroyed the god of love: so everyone could enjoy love instead of only the god of love.
In every country I go, I try to visit a hospital, to see how they work there and what the difference is with Belgium, and I always learn a lot there, most of the time, I can see some patients with a doctor, they explain me what kind of diseases they see most in their country and they ask thing about Belgium too.
I went to hospitals in Bangladesh, India, Honduras (volunteering), Hungary.
As I said before; medicine / surgery and traveling are my two biggest passions in life, so this is what happens if you merge those two! (I can't live without this so... :D)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn new languages and to practice the ones I already know a bit! I'm open minded, so I'm ready for new / weird / exciting things to learn and share.
