Overview
About Me
MISSION:
To reach my last days in life and feel like in the song "my Way" - Frank Sinatra
To make the life of the people around me always a bit better.
PHILOSOPHY:
Honesty before everything!
One should not be ashamed of their own mistakes as long as you learn from them.
Tolerance is the key!
The free will ends when you affect others. You should respect the others beliefs, behavior and way of living, as long as they don't hurt anyone.
CURRENT PLANS:
I'm currently going to start my PhD in Economics. It's gonna be rough! So the more reason to travel!
That's why I quitted my job earlier and now I'm traveling for 3 months all over Eastern Europe. No plans, no booking, nothing. I had a flight to Tallin, Estonia and my way back is in Naples. How I reach there, I don't care, as long as it is one amazing adventure.
ABOUT ME:
I consider myself an open-minded person, really curious and eager to learn! I have a little dose of craziness, but in a good way! (I think, haha). Maybe too rational, depends on the situation, but sometimes impulsive as well.
I've traveled quite a bit and figured that the trips I like the most are the ones that you get to meet local people and learn a bit about their countries. Everywhere I go I try to learn some words of the language, go to less touristic places (to have a good sense of what people do on a daily basis), try the local food and also, I check what they sell on the supermarket! It's really cool how much you can learn from the countries culture by looking at what they buy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, I've always thought the best way to get to know a place is with the people that live there. I wold like to know a city with both the eyes of a tourist and a local

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Practically everything, I don't have a predefined genre to hear and love to listen to new styles and to hear the folk music from different countries.
The classics I hear the most are The Doors, Pearl Jam, Queen, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Nina Simone, between others
Books:
I must confess I haven't spent as much as I would want reading lately, I work in the academic world so I read the whole time and find little time to read for leisure.
Books that have branded me for life:
- Unbearable lightness of being - Milan Kundera
- Cien años de Soledad / Hundred Years of Solitude - GG Marquez
- Todos los nombres - Jose Saramago
- Ensayo sobre la ceguera - Saramago
- Ensayo sobre la lucidez - Saramago
- the prophet - Khalil Gibran
- Art of War - Sun Tzu
- Predictably Irrational- Dan Ariel y
- Thinking fast, Thinking Slow - Kahneman
- Nudge - Thaler
Movies and TV shows:
I definitely love all the movies. I've seen so many I would not say which ones are my favorites. But some that I really liked and are at top of mind:
- Snatch
- Fight Club
- 7 sins
- person of interest (TV show)
- city of God
- Goodfellas
- pulp fiction
- gladiator
- fast and furious (bit ashamed of how much I like these movies haha)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling I have experienced many amazing things!
- I went by bike from the netherlands to Belgium
- I hitchhiked in the region of misiones, Argentina , where with my friend we had to fight a colony of huge ants trying to eat everything (including us) and we fished with our hands.
- I did a car trip around France, finding hidden castles, and exploring the culinary uniqueness of every region
- I went hiking to Torres del Paine, which is one of the most wonderful natural sightseeings you will ever see.
And more... :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about the culture, national cuisine and living experience from my country. Also I can teach you a bit about spanish and the slang used in Chile (according to travelers I've met, we don't speak Spanish, we speak chilean)
I would love to learn about your country, language, cuisine and basically everything.
I would love to share opinions and stories about my trips and hear about yours. There's always funny stories worth sharing!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook national dishes for you, teach you if you want!
We can have a great talk (over a beer or coffee, don't mind) and I'm really curious about everything so I will eagerly hear everything you might want to tell.
