Overview
About Me
Hey Fellas, I used to study a bit of project and change management in the Netherlands (Zwolle) but I quit the programme in favour of a less applied and more scientific study programme, and ended up with political science and law studies (so much for that) in Germany (Münster). What's more, I like the outdoors but cities as well; travelling in general has become very important for me. I'm part of a Germany-Tanzania exchange programme that we organise ourselves which I think is really exciting, developed a bit of a passion for the East African part of this world (but that's not exclusive to other regions). I am very much interested in social change and that's where I'm headed after finishing my law studies - putting that to good effect hopefully. In the meantime (study break), I plan to take a container ship to travel a far distance, preferably to Canada, in sort of a de-acceleration self-experiment. Before that, I'll go to Italy and Greece - at the latter of which I wanna do some voluntary work. That's what I'm up to more or less atm. I really like music and a good conversation during leisure time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Personal contacts are really valuable when travelling and I cherish acquaintances from around the globe. If you stay with me I'll eagerly grab a beer with you and have a nice chat.
Interests
music, although I suck at playing music, travelling, social change and advocacy are fascinating, i used to play tennis a lot, but my shoulder is mashed potatoes now. Update: physio seems to work and climbing is a great sport too.

Music, Movies, and Books
I figured I should read Nietzsche since everybody kept on referring me to his works when I said I am not religious back when I was studying abroad in Turkey
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I supported the research for a campaign targeted at the Norwegian Public Pension Fund to withdraw its investments in mainly coal and related environmentally hazardous industries which it eventually did.
Teach, Learn, Share
that's a tough one...I could share some of my travel photos with you, some movies, some music. maybe one or two cooking recipes that I can do.
What I Can Share with Hosts
a garden, a hammock, food, tea (lots of tea), maybe a bike, a big and comfy couch in my room but depending on the situation I can also leave you the whole room and crash on my flatmate's couch
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Ghana, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
