About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting new people

ABOUT ME

I'm a urban planner, living in Zürich for about 8 years. Due to my job and personal interests I know a lot about the city. In general I love to know as much as possible about the place I live or travel to, to explore it in all its facets.

I like to walk, hike and cycle, it has a lot to do with the exploring experience in my opinion. To travel in a manner you still are able to stop and survey. Cycling the US East Coast, cycling to Barcelona, hiking on the old Kjalvegur and the West Highland Way have been my greatest adventures of this kind so far.

I like to go out, grabing a beer and enjoy dancing (to various music, from latin to deep house). But in general I prefer a varied conversation with a drink over partying.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from around the world and to save money. From my own experience I can say; It's the best way to get to know people and culture in a foreign place, natives can show you more than any guide.

Interests

I like to read (German, English and French literature), cycling, hiking and jogging.

I'm very interessted in history, so I'm the right person to visit some historical site with. And I'm also open to artsy places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycling the US East Coast in 2015, from Miami FL to Boston MA. I'll never forget cycling through woods for whole days, along the Atlantic ocean on the A1A or criss-cross through whole Manhattan from Penn Station, to Queensboro Bridge, to Washington Hights.
I got introduced to CS this way and I'll never forget all the kind people I met.

Teach, Learn, Share

Even If your not staying with me I love to be your city guide. It's never the same and mostly I add something to the tour I haven't seen myself yet. So guiding is for me more like exploring the city together.
