About Me

My name is Jay and love computers and everything tech. Big lover of home automation and fixing electrical things is my jam. When a friend needs help with electronics - I'm the one they call.

I love exploring and heading out to see new things. Walking and roaming around a city/Country to find new things rather than looking on a map for the big theme parks is more who I am, and you often find much cooler things this way.

My idea of a holiday isn't sitting at home all day - it's being out and about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfer to try meet new friends and experiance local and authentic home stay experiances over seas while I travel.

I've also hosted multiple large events on CS, with Christmas in amsterdam being the largest. Had about 70 people catch up at a meet-up for Christmas and I still talk to a few people from it today!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - anything except heavy metal really. Top 40 is fine, just anything in the back ground. Love my 90's!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 2 months in Italy on an exchange program. Went to school, saw Pisa, Rome, Venice, Florence, Torino, and heaps more. Went skiing along the Torino Winter Olympics tracks just before it was used for the Olympics.
Loved every minute!!

Oh and I need to add a second one in here - Getting bogged 1200km from the nearest capital on a 4WD track, with no reception, not driving in a 4WD vehicle with my friend Nick

What I Can Share with Hosts

I often travel with my partner and he loves boardgames! So if you have a collection, or a deck of cards, then we'll be happy to join in.

We specialise in a night out, but are also just as comfortable at a night in. We also understand that people have jobs so if you need us to be in/out by a certain time we're certainly fine with that.

We can cook, but don't often. Australia also doesn't really have its own 'authentic' food, but we'll be happy to see what we can come up with to show you Australia!

Super excited for you to come visit us sometime :)
