Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm an occasional traveler seeking to get know both the invaluable experiences of other people and their country's beautiful nature.
The story of my life would not make a book that much interesting to go too much in detail, so let's just say that I have obtained a degree in philosophy in the recent past and since then I've been working in administration of research and research policy in my country. But job is a job, right?
Apart from that I spend my time mostly writing, reading, listening to music, playing in a band, and going to the movies, (not making them though, with regrets), all this fun stuff that makes world a little bit less serious, thank God :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's the best thing for travelers since the invention of roads.
I had some great experiences with travelling throughout Europe, apart from having a roof over your head, everyone you meet has something to tell you or show you, be it while walking in the city or just having a small dinner and drink in the evening.
Interests
People
Reading, writing, languages, talking, debating, chatting. It seems that for some reason I like words. And tones as well. Music has always been something of a mistress to me. I play the saxophone and the guitar a bit.
As for the sports, I play a lot of basketball, also I have been doing some running and playing badminton. All kinds of games suit me though, including chess and cards.
Some other things I like: breakfast, cooking, french culture, garden parties, night swimming, amateur gardening and more :-)
Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly alternative rock, rap, electronic, jazz... depends on the mood :-)
Lately: Oldies & 60s, Country, Jazz à la Homeland, Morphine, Dexter Gordon
Before that: The Smiths, Radiohead, A Tribe called quest, The Roots
Movies: all of them, except for those pretentious artier-than-thou boring intellectualy flat daubs
Books: Kafka, Hrabal, Steinbeck, Faulkner, Dostoevsky...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not having been struck by lightning. Parachute drop. Oh memories...
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook some, share a story... It would be great if someone taught me to play the piano, but that might be overstaying the welcome, as they say fish and visitors stink after three days :-)
