About Me

I am mechanical engineering student currently finishing my BSc's. Apart from mechanical engineering I am also interested in mechatronics and robotics.

I love sports and movement of all kind. I've been a skiing instructor for many years, I'm also into mountain biking, water sports and many more, so if you like to keep your body in motion we'll find a common tongue ;)

When it comes to travelling I cannot imagine a better feeling than connecting with a raw and wild nature. I find forests, mountains, seas and lakes way more interesting than cities, although it doesn't mean I don't like to take role of a city rat from time to time. It's all about finding the perfect balance!

I love all forms of travelling. Having tried hitchhiking multiple times around Europe I've now evolved to building my own camper van. If you have some experience with that, or you're interested in the topic I'd love to talk more about it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that exploring new lands is the best with the help of an experienced local person, who knows all the surrounding sweet spots. Hence this platform is the best for that. CS is also a part of the volunteering/hitchhiking/travellers community which has given me so much. Also of course it is a way of sustainable accommodation, which is a huge help while travelling on a tight budget.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to Vancouver, Canada, then hitchhiked my way to Whistler and fulfilled my childhood dream of biking through the Whistler Blackcomb bike park :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I did work as a mechanic, doing house renovation & construction, woodwork, ski&bike service, selling board games, in cafeteria, pizzeria, beer brewery, security, mass events, as a skiing instructor and probably did a few more things I forgot to mention. During my earlier Uni years I had also done plenty of volunteer work in a few student organisations, where I mainly handled organising events and promotion as a graphic designer, including creating visual identification (as a confirmation of my skills you can browse my freelance profile: bit.ly/3rZqYd3). I did volunteering jobs in Sardinia mostly doing landscaping. I am a member of a Formula Student team at my University (PG Racing Team) and participate in designing and manufacturing the vehicle.

My current job is a marine engine mechanic, and adding that to my technical education I believe that I am quite a good handyman. Hence I am pretty sure that I can help you with any kind of manual work, and perhaps teach you one thing or another about that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am open to helping you with any kind of housework, as well as prepare some simple food or just keep you company while having a good talk :)
