Overview
About Me
I'm a psychologist by profession and currently Erasmus+ Programme officer at Polish National Agency. In my free time I play in percussion group of samba batucada, a very powerful and energetic style of brazilian street music.
And if I don't run out of energy I travel here and there.
When I was younger I used to spend my free time hiking in polish mountains and it remained one of my favourite destinations. My first longer, independent travel abroad for summer work to Scotland awakened the hunger for going further and resulted in living some unforgettable experiences - studying and working in Belgium, Spain and Bolivia. In the meantime I visited quite many places, using the space which full time job leaves for travelling.
Usually I don't plan my trips in detailes, I like to take a map, choose several directions and leave a room for unexpected twists, suggestions of people met on the way or simply the feeling of the moment. Sometimes it results in chaos :-) and sometimes in magical and unique experiences that I wouldn't invent on my own.
Being in movement makes me happy, and I'd love to travel at least once without specific date of coming back.
As an introvert I'm rather calm and quite often immersed in my thoughts. Sometimes I'm melancholic, sometimes full of lust for live and energy (especially while playing drums :-). I trust my emotions and intuition.
I believe in the personal growth and the efforts to unlock individual potential. But I prefer not to idealise reality, I rather try to see it with whole complexity, accepting weakness, limitations or doubts. Still, I admire people who have courage to confront with themselves in search of their own ways and truths in life, despite obstacles or fear.
I like little imperfections in the world around, which make it beautiful and complete.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing makes travelling easier, more accessible, and it gives me a very hartwarming feeling that there can be so much trust and selflessness offered by so many people to strangers. It's a great way of exploring new places with help and company of locals, and on the other hand, of repaying all the kindness and hospitality I've experienced during my travels.
