Overview
About Me
My name is Jared Agee and I am 22 years old. I am currently finishing my vocal music education degree at Abilene Christian University. I adore choir, I think it can change the world. If I'm not at school teaching young minds how to love music, I'm probably composing, writing angsty poetry, or creating something. I have about three projects going on at a time. (Ask me about them at your own risk, because I could talk for hours about each of them, and then show them to you, and then ask you what you think and/or how I could make it better). I've been vegan for two years now, I think it's a great way to live. I'm not always 100% vegan though, so if you want to make dinner I won't be snobby.
I'm gay (woot woot!) Grew up very conservative Christian, but now don't really adhere to a particular religious doctrine. I'm just trying to be the best person I can be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why pay for an artificial traveling experience when you can stay with a local for FREE and get an authentic one? I believe that connections between humans make the world a better place and I want to facilitate that the best way I know how. What better way than inviting people into your home and showing them love?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Right after Christmas break a year ago, my best friend and I each dropped like eighty bucks and threw a huge vegan dinner party for all our friends. It was a five-course meal with salad, soup, a side, entree, and a bomb ass vegan chocolate cake. All our friends brought wine and we partied all night long. It was one of the best nights of my life. There's something really heartwarming about making food and someone coming over and eating it and enjoying it.
Spent three years perfecting an hour of memorized music on the piano, and then performed it in front of friends and family.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a piano in my little house, I can teach you your chords and blues scales so you can impress your friends with a little improv next time you're close to a piano. I can show you about Abilene. I work downtown, so I know all the people down there. We don't have much, but we do have some fun little restaurants and a couple of cool bars. Also, will cook you a vegan meal :)
