My name is Jared Fossen. I'm a prairie boy currently living in St. John's, Newfoundland, but getting ready to head back out west for a chef position at a fishing lodge in Manitoba for the summer. I'll be driving across this babe of a country and looking for a place to stay for the night.

Needed to get away from the same routine, but staying in hotels and renting rooms is just too heavy on the wallet. Plus meeting new people is the best. Who doesn't want new friends and memories to go with them?! I met a ton of amazing people thanks to couch surfing. People are the coolest.

Trying to teach my self French. It's not going so well, but Im hoping to pick some up over the summer. I'm also a chef so we can cook up some badass meal together and I'll show all I know in the kitchen. I enjoy learning on a regular basis. Anything anyone can teach me about anything is exciting.
