Overview
About Me
I'm a digital reporter with Public Radio International (PRI), covering refugee issues and language. I'm also an avid if mediocre soccer player.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to be able to travel so I can cover places and the issues they are facing with a personal, human touch that isn't possible when you are just working over the phone. I think you can always get to know a place better if you stay with locals. I'm a conversationalist. I generally enjoy meeting people of all stripes, and learning what makes them tic and how they see the world and their place in it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I dropped out of my first college in my first semester and went to Quito, Ecuador to take Spanish classes. A few weeks later, I missed my flight back, and got a job as a bartender in a dance bar that was in a touristy part of town the locals called “Gringolandia.” I got paid $10 a night, which one could live on there. Eventually, I came back and graduated.
