Overview
About Me
I would say I was bitten by the travel bug without even knowing when I was 19 working on a ranch in Colorado. I think I became weirdly addicted to stepping out my comfort zone or in other words putting myself in situations I know I would grow or learn from. I recently graduated from college with a degree in Food Science and a minor in packaging. Also, I am a huge Tottenham Hotspur fan #COYS.
My last job I spent 4 months working in Guatemala. I was working at a vegetable packing company it was definitely a challenge but also a very rewarding experience. It gave me such an urge to travel more without such a formal job. So I'm planning to do some more traveling and work small jobs through my travels for the next few months.
Eating and trying new foods is probably my favorite thing to do, I would try almost anything at least once. I definitely love to spend time in the kitchen and would love to learn as much about the local food culture as possible. I enjoy hiking/backpacking, I spent a week hiking through Death Valley and Zion. Biking on the mountain (got some scars to show) or around the city. Really anything that gets me outside, but the occasional lazy day, watching movies or reading is necessary. Life is a balance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Found out about Couchsurfing through friends and really agreed with the concept/platform. I hope this can help me get in touch with with the locals and experience a life as would a local.

Teach: I wouldn't say I am qualified to teach cooking but I can definitely show you a few kitchen tricks and how to make a mean roast chicken.
Always willing and wanting to learn the local language, history, and culture.
