Hi! I'm a 37 year old biology/science teacher who is currently making the most out of my long school holidays by doing some exploring back in Australia. I lived here until the age of 11 and have been back and travelled and worked quite a few times, though not for 8 years.
I love the outdoors, whether it's trail running, mountain biking, canoeing, surfing, sitting and enjoying the peace and quiet etc I love to get out camping and enjoy time spent away from modern distractions.
I'm fairly laid back and open minded and definitely try and live with as little drama as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm travelling on my own and feel I've gone past the stage of wanting to be around backpacker hostels but yet still want to be able to meet people to share good conversation, maybe a few drinks or some food, or to be shown a different side of places than the guide books would send you to.
I'm looking forward to meeting people from different backgrounds and people who have balanced the 9-5 with some adventure too! If you've got dogs, that's a massive bonus as I'm already missing mine!

I did own a crossfit and olympic lifting gym so if you want some coaching on how to squat, kettlebells, how to design workouts etc, I could definitely help out

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully some good conversation, I'm ok in the kitchen so could always cook dinner or at the very least help with the chopping and washing up. I'd be more than happy to help with anything animal based too; dog walking, feeding, looking after etc
