ABOUT ME

After spending a number of years travelling and living in other countries and cities throughout the world I am now back in my home town. I really love the Tutukaka coast where I life and the Northland area and have joined CS to allow other travelers to experience it

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Happy to host and offer advice for those coming to Northland. If I have time available I am happy to show you around the sights that only locals know about.

We have a spare bedroom at our house and this has a double bed in it, so is good for one or two people

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Having done the majority of my travel with a partner, we never used Couch Surfing as we were lucky enough to be able to afford double rooms in hostels in most places we visited. Now that I am single I see how hard it would be to travel in a country like NZ, where every thing is expensive and all the good things to see are in remote locations. So I am happy to offer a bed to help others

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, so like to attend lots of concerts and festivals. I like all types of music, but in particular alternative and indy rock + New Zealand Dub and Drum n Bass. Some of my favourite bands are Bloc Party, The Mars Volta, Tool, Fat Freddys Drop, Shapeshifter, Interpol, TV on the Radio, Muse, Foals, Arctic Monkeys, Katchafire, The Black Seeds, Kora, Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, System of a Down, and many many many more.

I have many stories to share of my time travelling, but I also love to find out more about guests' countries. But most of all I like to share my knowledge of New Zealand and the Northland area to help visitors enjoy it at its full potential
