About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm here to trek through trails, cycle through cities, and live through love.

ABOUT ME

I'm laid back. In a matter of moments, my sense of humor can range from lame, pun-related jokes to off-color humor. I'm easy to get along with but can be shy and reserved at first. I love conversations ranging from the aesthetics of literature, film, or really any kind of art, philosophizing over the peculiarities and ironies of life, to just bullshitting about the random.

PHILOSOPHY

Because it is shapeless and constantly evolving, my philosophy is best discussed face to face, preferably over a pint.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got introduced in 2011 when I first moved to NYC. I subletted a room from someone I found through CS. He brought me to a few meetings. and I met some awesome people from it. When I went to Europe in 2012 I visited some of those friends and made some new ones by going to a few different events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't done much of surfing on couches, mainly I've met people through the groups. It has been quite awesome being able to go all over Europe and meet fellow travelers and locals. It resulted in a few awesome adventures.

Interests

I read and write a lot. I'd rather go out to a local pub than some crowded nightclub (most times, very, very rarely I'll take the latter.) I enjoy conversations about philosophy, literature, film, and sometimes politics.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll keep it simple.

Modest Mouse, The Roots, Mos Def
Siddhartha, 100 Years of Solitude, The Sun Also Rises
This is a very, very brief list. And not always true at any given moment. If you want more, ask.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving for my 19th birthday. Then there was the day I up and moved from California to New York on my own. That's been one long, memorable moment :D
Biking through Berlin.
Wakeboarding outside of Prague.
Hiking in Heidelberg.
Very recently: quit my job of 8 years to travel the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't focus on where you are going, just enjoying getting there.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've a wide variety of interests and topics I can discuss. And if you want I'll write you a haiku about anything you'd like.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, Spain
