ABOUT ME

I'm a weirdly imaginative, spiritual, serious type who is passionate about books, theater, existentialism, and all arts in general. I believe the purpose of life is to give purpose to life; accomplish and experience as much as possible with the time you have.

Another one of life's purposes, I would say, is to care for and love those who need to be cared for and loved, which is everyone.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it's incredibly important to strive to live a life, in large part, for other people: "Hell is yourself and the only redemption is when a person puts himself aside to feel deeply for another person." -Tennessee Williams. "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." -Mahatma Gandhi. I want to be the kind of person the World was better because of, not worse.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I took an almost 4-month trip through the UK and Eastern Europe, during which I stayed in over a dozen awesome homes, and I recently returned from a 7-month roadtrip around North America, where I mostly slept in a van, but occasionally stayed with a couchsurfer to beat the heat. Aliah and I are happy to be hosting people now that we have a place to offer.

Interests

Photography, creativity, graffiti, surrealism, staying up all night, drinking black coffee, reading, thrift stores, lying on the floor, fencing, paintballing, urban exploring, deep discussions, drawing on people, hookah smoking, bicycle riding, pens and paper and the endless things you can do with them.
