Interested in meeting the CS community and getting ready for an upcoming trip.

ABOUT ME

I recently finished up graduate school and am trying to figure out what I want to do next. I'm currently working as a Post-Doc at Tufts Medical School, where I am helping develop a computer simulation of the human immune system. I've lived in Boston now for 7 years and really like it here. Now that I have more free time I would like to get out more and explore the city.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm believe its important to keep an open mind and not to impose one's belief system onto someone else.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to the CS community and am currently interested in getting to know some local CSers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't really have any prior couch surfing experience.

So far, I haven't traveled much, but I am really interested in learning about other cultures and hearing about the experience's of other travelers.

兴趣

I love music, and spend much of my day listening while I work.

I'm a huge hockey fan (Go Bruins!!). I also follow the Red Sox and Patriots casually.

If I have the time, I like to play video-games (PC mostly) and enjoy reading.

I am also fairly active and enjoy running and bike riding.

Music: Wide range, but I suppose I listen to indie/folk rock the most. I appreciate many different styles, though, and am always in exploring new music. http://www.last.fm/user/JaredOnly

Video-games: I play a bit on the PC (Steam) and occasionally on Xbox 360.

Books: I don't read as much as I would like, but am a fan of fantasy/fiction (Palahniuk, Murakami, Tolkien, "A Fine Balance" are some favorites). Currently working through the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin.
