About Me
ABOUT ME
Words to describe me:
- adventurous
- quirky
- playful
- open-minded
- organized
- responsible
I grew up in a rural part of New Jersey where the deer and squirrels outnumber the people. My fondest childhood memories include catching frogs and fish by the creek in our back yard.
I was always interested in art and I developed a serious passion in 7th grade. This led me to take advanced art classes and I stuck with it throughout the years.
I studied graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD)and loved every moment of it. I learned that my passion for art would often compromise my ability to sleep.
After school I moved to Brooklyn, NY in search of a job. I found an apartment with 4 Craigslist strangers and a Pit-bull puppy. Within two weeks I had landed a job for an Arts Organization. I worked there for two years. I then moved to my current job, at a creative agency. Here I work as a graphic designer, creating artwork for Indie Films and TV.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've stayed with incredibly generous hosts in the states and abroad. All experiences have been positive. Couchsurfing is all about paying it forward, so I want to continue that tradition. As a traveler, staying with a local is the best way to be a tourist, without feeling like one.
