About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I strive to connect to all sorts of folks through music, dance, food, and the natural world. I'd like to leave each interaction with further enrichment of mine and others' lives and learn from all the experiences I create for myself and find myself in.
ABOUT ME
I live in a sweet cooperative house in Olympia Washington with six other humans, one cat and one dog. I do a lot of things there, from sailing and bicycling and backpacking and mushrooming, to sewing, music, reading and writing, dancing and cooking.
When not in Oly (pronounced oh-lee) I'm traveling around the country producing dance festivals, hitch hiking, on bike tour to various gorgeous places and flying around to see sweet people and do extraordinary things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to host folx and show them around my scene in Olympia and when traveling, love to be hosted by folx who like to do the same.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been couchsurfing informally since I was 13; sleeping on family friends' couches while visiting various cities. Upon moving away for college, I connected with the couchsurfing community and had some great experiences, as well as a few unsavory ones. I've learned that things that I appreciate in a couchsurfer are: self-responsibility and self-determination, clarity of communication especially in regards to logistics, and an ethos of sharing as opposed to one of taking.
