ABOUT ME

I'm an easy to get along with person. I'm pretty reserved and a little shy but I love to meet new people. My favorite hobbies involve music, nutrition, and the outdoors/nature. I have a strong desire to travel the world, but unfortunately I have not ventured out much with the finances of a student. I currently am attending the University of Northern Colorado studying Special Education. I plan to continue my studies after I graduate in May '18 so that I may go to graduate school for a master's degree in Visual Impairments. Ultimately I would like the work with children or adults who are blind or low vision and help them learn essential life and mobility skills for easier and safer travel. As for right now, I work with individuals in group homes by making meals, dispensing medications, going on outings, and in general, just being a good friend and role model.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

It's odd to to think of all the empty bedrooms throughout the United States that aren't being used. We are a society that welcomes friends, but alienate those they do not know. Instead, we shovel out hundreds of dollars on a hotel to avoid meeting others and have our own space. I'd like to try and bridge that gap. If I have an open room, why wouldn't I let someone who needs one stay in it? It may not be the best or most luxurious space, but if you need to rest your head for a few nights, you've got a place to stay and even make some new friends along the way.

Interessen

I've recently been into health and nutrition. I like to eat healthy foods in addition to doing anything active from rock climbing, hiking, lifting weights, yoga, and more. I also enjoy nature and occasionally getting out on my unicycle to go on a ride.
