About Me
Hi there!
My name is Jarek and just like you I love travelling ;) after living 2 years in the UK, I decided to pack my backpack and go on a long long journey with my girlfriend. We had got lost in the world for 7 months. Currently we settled down in Krakow enjoying the city and helping other travellers.
In my spare time I like to grab a good book or work on my Spanish.
You can find me on Instagram: www.instagram.com/jarekkowalkowski
Do you want to increase your chances to be accepted?
- Most important: read the "My Home" section (if you're using the mobile App, then tap on "Read More" under the "Accepting Guests" status).
- Have a full profile
- If travelling with friend, send me their Cs
- Consider having your Gov ID validated by CS if your profile is not verified
If you have already hosted someone it is definitely a plus but not a must. I had opportunity to host my first guests after hitting someone's else couch 16 times.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My travels taught me that the journey is as much important as the destination for backpackers.
Meeting new people, listening to their stories, seeing their point of view and sharing our experiences - these are good reasons to be on couchsurfing. I believe we can inspire each other or at least have a good time.
As a host I am happy to provide you with a roof over your head, a cuppa, good companion and more;)
Interests
Juggling and running are the things that help me to clear my mind. After you do it for some time and stop struggling with your body you can reach this strange state of mind - the void - which I think is similar to what happens during meditation.

- zero waste
Music, Movies, and Books
Manu Chao, Dvorak, Amy Mcdonald, Rammstein... It's hard to classify
My favorite literature genre is fantasy and sci-fi. Recently I read the Robots and Foundation series by Isaac Asimov and I am still impressed with them as it gives food for thought on many levels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After 5 years of running I finally started in a marathon and even managed to finish it️
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have got a few stories from my travels to tell. I can also teach you how to juggle and do the language exchange. I have got a lot of experience with computers so I can help you with them.
