Overview
About Me
I find it quite difficult to write stuff about myself, because all I can think is: what can I say? I'm a girl who is curious about the world and it's people. I like to find out what other people think and what makes them happy. I can be quite philosophical when I'm talking to the right person.
I'm at my best when I'm around people and don't really like being alone. I go out a lot with friends, to meet people, dance and I like a drink or two while doing that.
When I'm recovering of a night out, you can find me in the corner of the couch reading a book with a cup of tea.
I think that would be an accurate description of my everyday life and how I handle things!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I came to Utrecht to study Sociale Sciences I joined a studentassociation that opened my eyes to traveling. The people I met there inspired me to go on adventures myself. As I said in my 'about me' I like to meet people and find out what they think of the world. What better way to do that than to join chouchsurfing.com?
Interests
Mmm, my interest... I read a lot and I read all sorts of books. I have so many books, I have to stack them up on the floor next to my bookcase. If I'm not reading in my freetime, you can catch me watching series, from Game of Thrones to Gossip Girl. But most of my time I spend with friends. Going out, drinking coffee by day and alcohol by night. Talking, laughing, dancing, thinking we know the answers to all philosophical problems. If I have the money I go to musicfestivals of all kinds, from house to rock or popfestivals. Oh yeah, and of course I study social sciences, wich expresses my interest in how people think and act upon those thoughts.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really can't point to a specific genre of music that's my favorite, because I listen to all sorts of it. Recently I went to a musicfestival and my favorites were Muse and OneRepublic. Of course I must not withhold from you that I am a major fan of Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, Mumford and Sons and Greenday.
Movies are easy. My favorites are the romantic comedy classics. P.S. I love you (although I like the book better, this movie makes me cry every time), Notting Hill and Singing in the Rain. But you can also make me happy with any Spiderman movie or an adaption of a Dan Brown book, so I guess I also like a variety of movies.
Books is easy too. My absolute favorite is The Age of Innocence. I really like the old classics, because they are so romantic and the people are so adorably polite to each other. But if you own so much books as I do, you don't own just one genre. I think the only books you won't find are the 'how-to-work-in-the-garden' type of books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most exciting experiences I've had so far are the hitchhiking trips with my studentassociation. It's so amazing what stories people tell you once you've stepped into their car. For those short moments you are the best of friends, even though you know you're probably never going to see each other again.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I hope we can share a laugh and a meal, although I'm not the best cook, I think we can figure something out. Also, as you've probably read, I can be quite philosophical and that state of mind can lead to great talks and discussions if you like that sort of thing.
