music: off the top of my head...velvet underground/lou reed, the kinks, mamas and papas, bob dylan, waylon jennings, the fall, the beach boys, yo la tengo, the magnetic fields, shocking blue, belle+sebastian, appalachian folk music, and memphis soul. but i like a lot of other stuff, too.
