Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see new and different places/get out of my comfort zone as much as possible.
ABOUT ME
I've spent my whole life living in California, and have recently started travelling somewhat regularly. I try to visit at least one new country a year. I tend to be very outgoing, in the sense that I don't have much of a sense of social awkwardness, so I'll talk to a complete stranger for hours about anything and everything. Also, I'm an enormous nerd and it shows. I'm very sarcastic, and I will usually turn just about anything into a joke.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy pretty much boils down to try everything once. There's so much out there to see and experience, and I just want to enjoy as much of it as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to couchsurfing myself, but have a close friend who is fairly active and I've helped her show some of her surfers around the area where we live and taking them to some local events they might not have otherwise known about. It's been very rewarding.
Interests
I love to read, particularly sci-fi novels but I'll give just about any book a try. I'm a big fan of hiking and generally exploration of any kind, especially when I'm in a place I've never been before. I'm mildly obsessed with good wine, probably because I grew up in wine country. Other than that it's mostly video games, work (I work in IT), or sitting around with my friends making fun of each other.

Guy Ritchie movies (Snatch, RocknRolla, etc), Firefly, Community, South Park, anything Monty Python, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Wire...it's a long list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A friend who was living in Granada took me on a walking tour to show me the local graffiti/street art, which was pretty incredible. And the first time I saw New York City at night would have to be high on the list as well.
