My name is Jarrad and I was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. Im currently living overseas in London, United Kingdom on a 2 year youth mobility visa which expires at the end of 2017. Im a Refrigeration and Air-conditioning mechanic by trade and I ran my own business back home doing that before I decided to pack it up and move to the UK. Im travelling Europe as much as possible and plan to travel America next year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch-surfing because I have had it recommended to me by a friend. He said its a sure way to meet genuine people and really feel what its like to live their day to day life in there hometown. It takes away alot of the touristy things that people normally do and you can really immerse yourself in the culture of a completely different place. Travel is also expensive and its a way in which I can get twice the experience of traveling whilst still keeping my budget in control so I can continue to visit more amazing places!

Interests

I am a huge Sci-Fi fan and love all movies or TV series to do with that. I love to play golf , go to the movies, hang out with mates, go bowling, gyming, camping, 4wding, rowing, squash general outdoor activities. I love to explore the world and I plan to visit as many different places as I can. After I have finished my travels in the UK I plan to do a summer at camp in America and apply for a working visa for Canada sometime in 2017.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I have done in my lifetime would be deciding to put a hold on my business back home and move to the UK to live for 2 years. It took alot just up and move but I do not regret a minute of it. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I like to think that my personality, travel experiences and knowledge can be shared with my hosts. I also have a vast variety of Mechanical experience through my job and am happy to pass that on to anyone who wishes to learn it or if anyone needs something fixed whilst Im staying with them.
