I am brand new to couch surfing. i registered a log in a while back but never used it.

I have just completed my MFA (Master in Fine Arts) degree at University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa where i have been living since 2015. I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa in a small suburb outside the city bowl area.

I get the opportunities to travel sometimes through artist residencies, workshops and exhibitions, and i have been fortunate enough to have visited some interesting places.

i'm mostly a quiet guy i like to keep to myself but i also like meeting new people. I'm not super social but hanging out around a fire, dinner table, bar, the more relaxed social settings are my kind of environment but i can also tear up a dance floor if i'm in the mood.

Like i said before, based on the work i do i get to travel to different cities. Usually the hassle of booking my accommodations are left to the organizers but every once in a while it does not work out like that. In those situations i would be looking to use services like Couchsurfing.
