About Me

Hello fellow surfers! I am an American/EU national who is currently in Lisbon and getting ready to travel again. My favorite traveling experience have been with Couchsurfing and I hope to host many many people in the future.

I should say that while I have less than 20 reviews I have made incredible friends couchsurfing and many of them I have visited again and again but we didn't leave reviews each time. One Spanish family I have met 5 times and many others 3-4. I love couchsurfing because over half of the people I have stayed with we have connected well and a 2-3 night stay turned into 8-10+ nights. Actually, I am renting an apartment currently from my friend Marissa who I met via couchsurfing 8 years ago in Austria!

** I am not using Couchsurfing as a dating platform.

** I do not drink much alcohol. I prefer being sober. I will be happy to have a wine or a beer together :)

I am a social introvert who can be very outgoing and enjoys meeting new people and having great conversations. My preference for Couchsurfing is to go wherever there is an open “couch” rather than crossing cities off of my list.

Whether you want to be outdoors or indoors, with coffee or beer, doing something adventurous or laid back, I would love to make new friends. Let's meet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I use Couchsurfing to meet and get to know people and their culture. An added benefit of that is to get to see many beautiful cities, town and villages.

People are better than cities. :)

Couchsurfing has been my favorite way to travel. I love it when my hosts introduce me to their friends and family. It amazes me how generous people can be.

Interests

Coffee connoisseur and enthusiast.

I have recently gotten into rock climbing. I even bought my own gear and have done some outdoor climbs.
I love to hike, camp, fish, climb, swim, surf, water ski, wakeboard, anything on the water really. I skateboard a little, no tricks, just commute style.

I have been reading more books in the past year, mostly about brain science, relational skills, and maturity stages in humans.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something Amazing: I had an opportunity to go to Juarez, Mexico for Christmas and give gifts to less privileged children. They were very happy and had big, wonderful, smiles.
